On June 12, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, and KATSEYE released “ICONIC BY MISTAKE,” an electronic dance-pop collaboration that brought together three of HYBE’s popular girl groups. While they share the same corporate ecosystem, each group has spent the last few years carving out a distinct artistic identity, making the collaboration one of the most exciting releases of the summer. The music video premiered on June 10, while the song arrived on streaming platforms two days later and has since garnered more than 50 million views on YouTube as of June 28.

The track also entered at No. 25 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 22 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart. In the United Kingdom, the song reached No. 22 on the Official Singles Chart Top 100, further highlighting its global appeal.
The achievement marks LE SSERAFIM's fourth entry on the Billboard Hot 100, ILLIT's second, and KATSEYE's fifth. Beyond streaming numbers, fan engagement has remained strong across platforms, with the song's dance practice video surpassing ten million views within days of release. The collaboration also secured first place on Mnet's M Countdown, adding another milestone to an already successful run.

The project was not without its challenges. KATSEYE member MANON and ILLIT member MOKA were on hiatus during filming and therefore do not appear in the music video. However, MOKA's vocals remain on the track, having been recorded before her hiatus began.
