What’s Playing in My Headphones This Week: Die Boy & More

This week’s been heavy in ways I can’t quite put into words—and my headphones have been my safe space. You know that feeling when a song just gets you, like it’s been eavesdropping on your thoughts? That’s been me—leaning on these artists who, in their own ways, tug at different corners of my heart.
If these songs were people in my life, they would be...
Die Boy (@deardieboy) - “Varia,” “Dreams Never Came True,” “Say Goodbye,” “Just Say No”:
That one friend who checks on you at 3 AM but somehow makes you cry harder than you already were. Every line feels like salt on a wound, but somehow it makes you feel lighter after letting it all out.
paulkyte (@paulkyte_) - “Even if I’m dying, ” “cry for you”:
The poet friend who romanticizes pain. They’ll hand you tissues and recite poetry about why you’re crying. His songs feel like reading my diary out loud—the parts I’d usually keep hidden.
Jade (@jade.yours) - “I wish that you were here,” “Despite everything, I love you,” “I thought we could be friends”:
The dramatic friend staring out the car window pretending life is a music video (even when it’s sunny). But honestly? Sometimes that’s exactly the energy I need—to lean into the drama of my own feelings.
DNYDK (@realdannydyk) - “Backseat,” “Bruises”:
The impulsive friend who says “let’s just go for a drive” and suddenly you’re screaming lyrics out the window at 2 AM. It’s messy and raw, but sometimes that’s the kind of release you need.
Namooboy (@namooboooy) - “My Story”:
The sunshine friend who buys you bubble tea just because you looked sad. There’s something so simple and healing about his music—like a reminder that joy can be small but still powerful.
YEONSOO (@yeonsoozz) - This Is How I Disappear:
The introspective friend who doesn’t say much, but when they do, it cuts deep—like they’ve been quietly watching and somehow know exactly what you’re feeling before you even admit it to yourself. Listening feels like staring at the ceiling in the dark when your brain finally whispers the truth you’ve been avoiding.
So yeah…this week’s playlist has been a rollercoaster—but in the best way. That’s the beauty of music right? It doesn’t just sit in the background; it walks with us. Sometimes a song is the one to hold our hand—and even cry beside us. This is exactly what I needed this week.
