TWS (pronounced “Two-Us”), consisting of SHINYU, DOHOON, YOUNGJAE, HANJIN, JIHOON, and KYUNGMIN, returned on April 27 with their 5th mini album NO TRAGEDY

The PLEDIS Entertainment boy group, whose name is short for “TWENTY FOUR SEVEN WITH US,” has built their reputation on ‘Boyhood Pop,’ a musical style rooted in refreshing, unstoppable energy that has carried them from debut to one of K-pop’s fastest-rising acts.

All five of their previous EP releases—Sparkling Blue, SUMMER BEAT!, Last Bell, TRY WITH US, and play hard—surpassed half a million sales. On top of that, their lead single “plot twist” from their debut EP Sparkling Blue charted on the Billboard Global 200 for eight weeks and topped Melon’s annual chart.

NO TRAGEDY is a vibrant, six-track declaration of self-determined romance and sheer musical confidence, led by the infectious title track “You, You,” which balances their youthful charm with a new level of artistic maturity. The album has already reached its first million-seller milestone, with pre-orders alone exceeding 1.16 million copies.

Here are five reasons why we’re absolutely in love with this comeback!

1. NO TRAGEDY is a Six-Track, No-Skip Era

NO TRAGEDY gives listeners far more than a lead single to latch onto. The six-track EP opens with the house-centric energy of “All the Possibilities,” shifts into a punchy all-English pop moment on “Why You So Bad?,” and takes a sharp turn into boom-bap territory with punk and rock textures on “Get It Now.” “Fire Escape” brings a hyperpop and hip-hop rush to the mix, while “Back To Strangers” closes the album on a dreamy, slow-building note.

Although each track pulls from a distinct genre, the youthful boldness TWS is known for runs consistently across all six songs. The throughline is what makes NO TRAGEDY a satisfying full listen rather than a collection of individual tracks.

2. “You, You” Proves TWS Writes Their Own Love Story

Deserving its own spotlight, the lead single “You, You” captures the rush of falling for someone with total conviction and no hesitation or second-guessing. Driven by the addictive repetition of “Dda-rum,” the track unfolds with a feel-good momentum that perfectly mirrors its theme.

The music video takes that message even further. Opening with the warning, “BEWARE THE STAR’S CURSE AGAINST LOVE,” the boys face an overwhelming force and refuse to back down. The storyline reframes the idea of star-crossed lovers into star-crushing lovers, with each member confronting the star in their own way before it finally shatters into radiant fragments.

What begins as a fate-driven setup becomes a story about choosing your own ending, told through heart-shaped water gun jets, fast-paced bicycle chases, and a final celebratory scene beneath the broken star’s scattering pieces—playful, self-determined, and unmistakably TWS.

3. TWS is Rolling Stone’s K-Pop Act to Watch

NO TRAGEDY arrives alongside a milestone that reflects just how far TWS has come. As mentioned earlier, the album surpassed 1.16 million pre-orders before its release date, achieving their first million-seller milestone.

TWS was also selected as the only K-pop act on Rolling Stone’s Future 25 of 2026, a list spotlighting the most exciting voices shaping music. The outlet recognized them as “one of the most exciting and energetic K-pop groups today.”

They had previously been featured in the NME 100 as one of the emerging artists to watch for in 2025, so their Rolling Stone recognition feels like a natural progression for a group that has been building towards this level of global visibility since their debut.

4. “Dream With Us” Turns Their Sound into a FIFA World Cup 2026 National Anthem

On June 11, TWS released the digital single “Dream With Us,” the official cheer song of the Republic of Korea national football team for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

As Korea Football Association (KFA) ambassadors, the group channels the same trailblazing, hopeful energy found in NO TRAGEDY into a track carrying the message that “when we believe in miracles together, miracles begin.” The song depicts the story of youth running towards a shared dream, which aligns naturally with the ‘Boyhood Pop’ identity TWS has crafted since their debut.

5. TWS’s Summer is Far From Over: New 2026 Tour, New Japan Single

NO TRAGEDY also sets the stage for one of TWS’s biggest years in terms of live performances and new music. Their upcoming tour, 2026 TWS TOUR ‘24/7:FOR:YOU,’ kicks off in Seoul at KSPO DOME on June 27 and 28, followed by stops in Fukuoka, Kobe, Yokohama, Macau, Bangkok, Singapore, and Kaohsiung through October.

Fans who have been listening to NO TRAGEDY on repeat will finally get to hear those tracks live across eight cities in Asia.

Alongside the tour, pre-orders are already open for TWS’s 2nd Japan single album SODA SODA, releasing on August 4, 2026. The three-track release features a Japanese original song starring the sparkling moments of youth, meshing with the spirit of NO TRAGEDY and “Dream With Us.”

This summer, TWS is giving 42s (TWS’s fandom) new music, live stages, and a lot to look forward to all at once, much like the tingling excitement of opening a soda can.
