The city of Singapore was buzzing with energy as one would expect over the Formula 1 weekend. Yet this time around, the air at Singapore Sports Hub overlooking the F1 Paddock Club felt different as the crowds of fans gathered in color-coordinated fits of black and red for a very special reason. That reason being K-pop supergroup ENHYPEN’s three-show run at the Singapore Indoor Stadium for their WALK THE LINE tour.

October 3 marked the group’s second visit to The Lion City after their two sold-out shows for FATE+ World Tour in January 2024, and the first of the three explosive nights of live performances that the fans were about to witness. From the get-go, the anticipation for the group’s return was at an all-time high as the entire stadium erupted into cheers when the music videos for their most recent tracks, “No Doubt” and “Bad Desire (With or Without You),” played on the big screens a few minutes prior to showtime.

As the lights dimmed and the screens went black in just a matter of a few heart-thumping seconds, the opening VCR was met with a wave of excitement from all across the venue. It was a delicate moment of anticipation and adrenaline when the seven members JUNGWON, HEESEUNG, JAY, JAKE, SUNGHOON, SUNOO, and NI-KI finally took the stage for their very last international stop on the WALK THE LINE tour with a pulsating performance of “Brought The Heat Back.” This fiery introduction to the night meticulously morphed into their nostalgia-ridden hit song “Fever.”

As the song came to a halt, the members took a few minutes’ break to catch up with the fans and introduce their concert series. SUNGHOON started off with a quick attendance check on audience members who had witnessed their previous tour in Singapore, while HEESEUNG tested the audience’s energy for the night with a fun sing-along to “Bad Desire (With or Without You).” JUNGWON also managed to sneak in a few cheeky dares for the fans waving their lightsticks. Seeing all the members interact with the audiences in their own special way from the very beginning to the end was definitely what made this show feel even more magical.

The magic didn’t stop just there. Soon, the members took on a blazing medley of “ParadoXXX Invasion” and bass-thumping anthem “Future Perfect (Pass The MIC),” supported by a full production of pyrotechnics, props, and confetti. It truly felt like a rock concert of their own league with the addition of stronger guitar riffs and explosive drums. During “ParadoXXX Invasion,” the members playfully incorporated F1 references into their choreography as they mimicked driving a race car during the chorus. “Future Perfect (Pass The Mic)” also set the tone for how exhilarating the next two hours were going to be, building up on the adrenaline with SUNOO’s pre-chorus and the dance break, where the members finally got to explore the extended stage for the first time. Witnessing the entire crowd chanting the lyrics “Walk the line / I hate the line" was a highlight of its own, and soon after, the members returned backstage for a quick costume change.

As the show hit the half-hour mark, the second portion of the setlist began on a rather softer note with the group re-entering the stage in shimmery blue glitter costumes to the iconic piano intro from their debut single “Given-Taken.” With 2025 marking the group’s fifth anniversary, this was a song that felt extra special when looking back at the numerous accolades they’ve gathered since then, including their Coachella debut this year to being one of the fastest K-pop groups to surpass 5 billion streams on Spotify.

Soon, it was time for the two unit performances paying homage to their beloved Webtoon soundtrack DARK MOON <MEMORABILIA>. Members JAY, JAKE, and SUNGHOON took the lead with the sultry R&B track “Lucifer” on an icy stage, showcasing their buttery vocals and smooth choreography in slicked-back hair and outfits. After JAY’s iconic high note in the bridge, the entire stage turned red, paving the way for the next unit stage. It was evident that the energy was slowly picking up pace. Members JUNGWON, HEESEUNG, SUNOO, and NI-KI soon adorned the stage in brown jackets and energetic choreography for the fan-favorite “Teeth.” With green lasers shooting from all around the venue, the entire stadium was soon transformed into a club as NI-KI’s intense phonk outro started playing.

Following a VCR that felt like the audience was living through a spy movie, the group’s rockstar JAY took on his solo guitar intro for “Blessed-Cursed,” as the members made their way onto the extended stage again for the chorus, with pyrotechnics lighting up the performance left and right. As the night unfolded, the audience was treated to a hauntingly beautiful performance of their Webtoon single “Fatal Trouble.” All credit goes to the members and the team behind the setlist for knowing exactly what the fans wanted, especially JAKE’s verse from the track, during which the audience’s excitement echoed through the entire stadium.

Additionally, if there was ever a place you could hear the lyrics “Oh my God” at the maximum volume possible, it would’ve been during the chorus of this very next song and hit single “Bite Me.” It was evident from the cheers alone that this was one track that the fans had been anticipating for more than a year, notably HEESEUNG’s verses. The stunning visuals that accompanied these performances set in stone the group’s strong presence as K-pop’s designated vampires. As the confetti popped out during the last chorus of “Bite Me,” the members went down the stage lift for yet another costume change for their next segment.

Section three set out to be a very playful segment of the show, and very much felt like your college best friends hanging out in a coming-of-age movie as the members took the stage again, all decked out in sporty looks. Kicking things off with the groovy love confession “Your Eyes Only” from ROMANCE : UNTOLD, the members made their way to the extended stage to interact with the audience before ramping up the summer vibes with the English version of their latest release “Loose.” SUNGHOON and NI-KI’s energetic dance break was met with a full chorus of cheers that echoed through all three levels of the stadium. As soon as the performance ended, JUNGWON too made a note of how much ENGENE particularly loved HEESEUNG’s part in “Loose.”

Soon enough, it was once again time for a quick chat with the audience about their time in the city so far. The members gushed about their favorite Singaporean food, with JAKE commenting that Laksa was one of his top three favorite noodles of all-time and JUNGWON professing his love for Hainanese chicken rice.

And of course, what's an ENHYPEN concert without some playful banter among the members? The members, especially JUNGWON, commented on how excited JAY was to experience the F1 Paddock for the first time that he almost “looked like a baby,” which had been a very endearing moment for all of them to witness. Just a day before taking the stage at the Indoor Stadium, die-hard F1 and Red Bull Racing fan JAY, along with JUNGWON, JAKE, and SUNGHOON, had the opportunity to meet Red Bull Racing drivers Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda at the Paddock—a moment that both ENGENEs and F1 fans had been patiently waiting for since the tour's announcement.

JAY proceeded to explain how memorable Singapore was to him beyond F1, as the last time he was here was when he announced his first-ever collaboration with Japanese rock legends GLAY on “whodunit.” When the talk segment came to an end, JAKE requested the entire stadium to rise from their seats and dance along to the next few tracks as the night was promised to get even crazier.

Starting off with “Scream,” from MEMORABILIA, the members finally brought on their mic stands for this particular song, with the crowd going wild from SUNOO's verse to NI-KI's. The stage then smoothly transitioned onto “Tamed-Dashed,” to which the crowd from all three levels of the stadium started dancing along as the members made their way to the extended stage. The audience was then treated to a bass remix of “Sweet Venom (English Version),” converting the entire stadium into a dance club. As many may have anticipated, SUNGHOON’s iconic bridge, “I would give up heaven if I had to,” was met with a roaring outpour of love from the entire audience.

Just when you thought the party was over, the septet made their way towards the crowds as they jumped up and down to the fan-favorite “Go Big or Go Home,” which NI-KI later revealed was one of his favorite moments from the night. If there was ever a single moment of pure adrenaline that every single ENHYPEN fan should experience from their shows, it would be the fanchant in “Go Big or Go Home.” Despite Singapore’s existing heat, the group was definitely bringing a whole new level of heat back through their lively music and performances.

Before you knew it, the energetic section of the setlist was over, and fans were greeted with another VCR introducing the last portion of the show. The whole stadium went quiet as the first few notes of their visually and sonically striking love song “Moonstruck” began. It was a moment of absolute awe and mesmerization that the audience was experiencing as a collective, almost as if they were in a trance. Captivating the entirety of the Indoor Stadium one note at a time, HEESEUNG's introductory verse and adlibs made the song sound even more breathtakingly beautiful.

With just a few more songs left of the set, SUNOO thanked the audience for coming to see them over the three nights (which was a first for them too on this particular tour), to which JAY added that, despite it being a special weekend due to F1, the fact that people still came to see them was something they were all indebtedly grateful for. NI-KI and JUNGWON both expressed that this was their first performance in weeks, which, to JUNGWON, felt more than a month long. As the talk segment came to a halt, HEESEUNG hinted at their upcoming album, ending it off with a playful “love you lah.”

Minutes later, the members returned to their dance formations for “XO (Only If You Say Yes),” which started off with a magical piano intro played by HEESEUNG, and ended with the fans chanting their names from every corner of the stadium. This performance was followed by the groovy R&B number “No Doubt.” Soon enough, it was time for the much-awaited performance of “Bad Desire (With Or Without You)” which, to the audience’s dismay, was supposedly their last song for the night. Minutes later, the members left the stage, and the crowd collectively began chanting for an encore from the members.

As the chaos of the night ensued, the LED screens turned red with the cameras panning onto the creative banners that the fans had brought to the show, that read expressions like “JAY, you’re my P1 forever” in reference to F1, and a cheeky “Girls don’t want flowers, girls want PARK SUNGHOON!”

In the blink of an eye, the seven members made their return to the stage in black WALK THE LINE merch for one last time, like superheroes answering the crowd’s wishes. The fans were then treated to a double-encore performance of “Helium” and “Paranormal", revving up the energy of the stadium through interactive moments with the audience. It was truly an electrifying set to remember.

As night came to an end, the members bid farewell to the crowd, thanking everyone once again for their presence, with a promise of delivering another two days of high-voltage energy in The Lion City. The confetti drop at the end of “Paranormal” was followed by the group's final bow, bringing the show to a checkered-flag finale—a magical end to a memorable first night in Singapore for both ENHYPEN and ENGENE alike.
