The beloved K-pop group BTS turned 12 on June 13 this year, with a surprise reunion that warmed the hearts of fans. Despite not being at an official debut anniversary event, all members of BTS came together to celebrate with their fans, ARMY, after almost three years. A lot has changed on the personal front for the group members, but their bond has continued to remain strong, unwavered by time.
Following the Festa 2025 celebrations, BTS began a week-long journey of online and offline activities that increased the excitement amongst its fans. The Festa was announced by members Jin and j-hope, who were the only two members discharged from the military at the time. On June 13 & 14, the group came together for an offline event for the first time in three years and shared a heartwarming time with the fans. Around 60,000 fans had participated in the online and offline events.

The two-day offline event was set up at KINTEX Exhibition centre featuring around 20 booths offering different activities, including a giant ‘ARMY BOMB PHOTO SPOT’ and a ‘WHALE PHOTO SPOT,’ inspired by one of BTS’ signature motifs. The booths also consisted of a ‘VOICE ZONE’ where the fans could listen to a heartfelt message recorded by each BTS member. There was also another booth named ‘BTS LOCKER’ where the fans could see special items curated by the members.
In addition to these booths, the offline event also had a ‘TROPHY ZONE’ which hosted 50 trophies collected by the group, representing a meaningful achievement by the group and the fans. Next was the ‘DIY ZONE’ where the fans could make their own personalized sachets (scent pouches) inspired by their favorite BTS songs and scents. Another installation by the name of ‘COLORFUL WALL’ was placed to allow the fans to write their heartfelt messages for the fans. BTS-themed photo zones were also set up throughout Ilsan Lake Park, giving an immersive experience to fans and onlookers alike.

On their 12th anniversary day, that is June 13, j-hope also had a show from his first solo concert tour ‘Hope on the Stage.’ The rest of the members made a surprise appearance at the event, and the fans were excited and surprised to see this reunion of the members. SUGA was not discharged from his mandatory military service at the time of the show, but he too was present at the concert to extend his support and celebrate the group’s 12th debut anniversary with the members and the fans.
Moreover, members Jin and Jungkook surprised j-hope with a surprise performance. Jin performed his latest song “Don’t Say You Love Me” from his second album Echo, whereas Jungkook performed the song “Seven (ft Latto)” from his solo debut album Golden. The two also joined j-hope in a rendition of the track “Jamais Vu” from the group’s 2019 album Map of the Soul: Persona.
j-hope’s concert tour began on February 28, 2025, and concluded on June 14, 2025, after touring across Asia, the USA, and Mexico. Shortly after his military discharge, j-hope resumed his activities and began releasing new music as well. He performed his past hits and latest releases at his concert tour, enthralling the fans. The next member to go on a solo concert tour is Jin with a maiden two-day concert in South Korea on June 28 and 29, followed by a few stops across Japan, the USA, and Europe.
The BTS Festa 2025 ended on a sweet and hopeful note of BTS’ comeback from the military. The fans were filled with emotions and love for their favorite septet as they began to walk the flower path, reunited.
