XG Announces World Tour: ‘THE CORE’

Global pop group XG will return to audiences for a second world tour, XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE, in 2026. Kicking off in Japan in February, the tour will follow the release of a new full-length album, set to drop January 23rd. Here’s more on what’s coming up.

Formed by South Korean label XGALX, XG is composed of seven Japanese members: JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA. XG first debuted with the catchy English single "Tippy Toes" in March 2022. Shortly after, they followed up with singles "MASCARA" and "SHOOTING STAR." Combined with eye-catching, sharp choreography and the dedicated styling of Japanese fashion subcultures, XG quickly gained attention for their blend of hip hop and R&B—all set to futuristic and show-stopping backdrops.

XG's previous world tour, XG 1st WORLD TOUR 'The First HOWL,' spanned 35 cities in 18 countries, including a sold-out Tokyo Dome concert in May 2025. For THE CORE, XG plans on visiting Asia, North America, Europe, Australia, and Latin America. The group will begin the Japan leg of THE CORE at K-Arena in Yokohama on February 6th and finish in Fukuoka on April 5th. 

The group is already stirring up anticipation for the new album. On September 19th, they dropped the poppy, electronic pre-release single, "GALA." The music video sticks with XG's overarching planetary concept while still delivering fresh and artistic looks. "GALA" focuses on fashion specifically and the confidence and energy that imbues it. The members catwalk down the red carpet, bold and confident as they repeat the lyrics:

"I just turned the Met Gala into the X GALA"

Fans should prepare for an action-packed year with XG as they ring in 2026 with their new album and a world tour.
