P1Harmony’s First English EP ‘EX’ Is All About Leveling Up in Life

P1Harmony, a K-pop group consisting of six members KEEHO, THEO, JIUNG, INTAK, SOUL and JONGSEOB, released their first English-language mini album EX on September 26, marking a significant milestone in their musical journey. This is the group’s 9th EP, and it arrives at a time when their artistry and global influence are reaching new heights.

The release was accompanied by the official music video for the title track, “EX,” and the group gave a world premiere performance on Good Morning America in New York City, bringing excitement and something special for fans on September 24.

Known for their hands-on approach to music, members KEEHO, JIUNG, INTAK and JONGSEOB are credited as creative writers on the project. This highlights the group’s consistent involvement in shaping their discography. In addition to the English version, P1Harmony also recorded “EX” in Spanish, which is their first-ever Spanish track and builds on their earlier Latin-inspired performances. This bilingual approach reflects their desire to reach fans across cultures, languages and borders.

The album consists of five tracks:

  • “EX”

  • “Dancing Queen”

  • “Stupid Brain”

  • “Night of My Life”

  • “EX (Spanish Version)”

This carefully created tracklist brings together P1Harmony’s signature elements: lyrical depth, genre-blurring production and a seamless showcase of flawless vocals. Each song carries its own weight, but together they form a complete experience that speaks directly to fans worldwide.

The first track, “EX,” sets the tone for the album. While its name might suggest a typical breakup song, the lyrics instead celebrate the strength of people who move on from toxic relationships and embark on journeys of self-love. The music video is bright and playful, with video-game themes and the members’ charisma on full display. It ends with the message, “Level Up! Your quest is over. You’re ready to begin a new love.”

Lines like “End of story, period, no exclamation” co-written by KEEHO, INTAK and JONGSEOB reflect a confident finality, while Jiung’s verse—“Honey, you got everything you need / Let me be the only one to be / Perfect boy that’s always in your dreams”—mirrors the group’s own desire to become the group fans everywhere can count on.

Watching them perform “EX” live on Good Morning America further emphasized its charm, with the dance and energy proving that this is a title track meant for big stages.

The second track, “Dancing Queen,” is dreamy and enchanting. The vocals are rich, layered and create an atmosphere that feels magical. Fans can already imagine the electric response when this song is performed live, as the crowd sings along in awe. “You’re so sweet. You put a spell on me,” the members sing, but in truth, it is the fans who will be spellbound. With JIUNG, INTAK and JONGSEOB co-writing the song, “Dancing Queen” is one of those tracks that lingers in memory long after the final note fades.

“Stupid Brain” follows next and speaks directly to the struggles of today’s overthinking, well-informed generation. The lyrics “I need to let this go / I’m so sick of overthinking, never listen / Oh, why can’t I just stop?” strike a relatable chord. The frustration of living in constant noise and information overload is perfectly captured as the group calls out the cycle of overthinking that never truly helps. “Just turn it off, just for a day” and “I spent years in indecision with no vision” are lines that resonate deeply, showing that P1Harmony are not afraid to voice the struggles their listeners face daily.

“Night of My Life” changes gears with its upbeat and liberating vibe. It celebrates moments of pure joy, where nothing else matters except living in the present. Lyrics such as “Not stressing ‘bout tomorrow” and “Doing what I wanna” reflect this carefree mood. The song feels like an anthem for nights that become unforgettable, moments when happiness is enough and worries can wait.

The fifth and final track is “EX (Spanish Version).” It carries the same empowering message as the English version, but with a lyrical adaptation that adds freshness while keeping some English words intact for rhythm and flow. This track is a significant step in P1Harmony’s journey to connect with Spanish-speaking fans, further proving their global outlook.

What makes this album stand out is how P1Harmony manages to balance fun and depth. “EX” is witty, heartfelt and refreshing all at once. “Dancing Queen” enchants with its dreamy charm, “Stupid Brain” feels like a mirror held up to modern life and “Night of My Life” invites listeners to live in the moment. Every track has its own spark, but together, they create harmony that feels global in scope.

On October 5 KST, P1Harmony also achieved a major career milestone as their first English EP EX debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, marking their first-ever top 10 entry on the chart.
