Natalie Jinju Closes Out ‘Just My Luck’ With a Halloween Night in LA

Halloween came early to the Troubadour on Thursday night. Fans showed up in full costume for the final stop of natalie jinju’s Just My Luck tour, turning the sold-out West Hollywood room into one big costume party. natalie joined in, dressing up alongside the crowd she had been winning over city by city since the tour kicked off in September. With everyone in on the fun, the night felt less like a regular show and more like a joint celebration.
natalie jinju is a Korean-American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, known for intimate lyricism and a blend of pop, R&B, and jazz influences. She wrote and produced her debut project, Last September, at 17 as a high school project, which helped her earn a spot in USC’s Thornton School of Music. Her music found a home on social media, where songs like “all the time” became fan favorites and helped build a devoted, fast-growing following. Now signed to Capitol Records, she sold out her first two shows at LA’s Moroccan Lounge, shared stages at the All Things Go Music Festival, and kept the momentum going with releases like “buttons,” leading up to her 2026 EP, nobody cares. The Just My Luck tour, her biggest run yet, came to an end at the Troubadour in front of a crowd that knew nearly every word.

Bedroom pop singer-songwriter chiabiee opened the night, setting the tone right away. She eased into the evening by joking with the crowd, drawing laughs that made the room feel like friends gathering. She debuted a pre-release song sounding different from what she usually puts out, a fresh side of her artistry that the crowd welcomed. The song was dropping the very next day, and she performed a stripped-down version, inviting the audience to sing along. chiabiee also stepped into jazz territory with a cover of “That Old Feeling,” a fitting nod to the sound that threads through the night’s headliner. Between the humor and the meaning in her songs, her set staged a warm, playful start.

When natalie took the stage with her band, she opened with “honeybee,” and the room responded instantly. “crush!” followed, and natalie danced right along with the crowd, costumes swaying all around her. From there she smoothly transitioned through “table of one,” “open wound,” and “last september,” in a venue packed wall to wall. Between songs she shared the experiences that led her to write them, which made every track feel more personal. The crowd met each song with cheers and singing.
Midway through, the band stepped offstage, and natalie sat alone at the keyboard for a stripped-back stretch. She performed “songs that remind me of you” and an unreleased fan favorite, “juanita,” a song about moving on from what is known and familiar. In a room that had been dancing minutes earlier, the quietness was striking. Knowing this was the last night of the tour gave those intimate songs extra weight. You could tell it was a special one for her.
The band returned to perform songs like “calico,” and soon after came a tradition at every one of her shows. During “letters to my lover,” natalie tossed paper airplanes into the crowd. She smiled as she watched fans reach and jump, everyone hoping to catch one of the few that took flight.

As the night came to a close, natalie paused to hand a special envelope to a fan who had been following her journey since day one. natalie thanked her for all her support and called her and the rest of the audience their “lucky charm” of the night. After that, Natalie performed the title track, “just my luck.” As she began to sing, fans held clovers high in the air, a surprise fan project that caught natalie completely off guard. Seeing the sea of green and the smiles around her, she was visibly moved, smiling ear to ear. It was a moment fans lovingly planned and a fitting way to close a tour named for luck.

Between the costumes, the airplanes, the clovers, and a crowd that knew every word, natalie jinju’s final night was a celebration of a well-traveled tour. We can’t wait to see what she has in store next.
